Meet Fossa

Handcrafted in Singapore

A “Fossa” is a cat-like mammal that is indigenous, and unique, to Madagascar having first reached the island almost 20 million years ago. Yilina, Charis and Jay first taste of Craft Chocolate was a Madagascan bar and to commemorate this start to their journey they decided to name their company Fossa. Fossa Chocolate is the only bean-to-bar company from Singapore to be acclaimed at the International Chocolate Awards. Its team of chocolate makers showcase their passion through every step in the making process, right from using sustainably sourced, specialty-grade cacao beans, down to incorporating new and unexpected flavours like seaweed, salted egg, and lychee. The result? Chocolate that has great depth, clarity, texture, and intensity in every bite.

Inspired by a new generation of craft chocolate makers worldwide, Fossa Chocolate is in pursuit of bringing forth the best flavours of cacao to our neighbourhood, while sharing the authentic taste of Asia with the world.

Bean to bar. We produce fine chocolate from scratch, controlling every step in the process. Our focus is to bring forth the unique flavours that different origins have to offer, roasting and winnowing the cacao, then refining and moulding in small batches and hand- wrapping in letter-pressed packaging. The process is time consuming, but we love every step of it and we are sure you will agree it is worth it when you taste our chocolate!

Quality & ethical sourcing. All our cacao are sourced without human exploitation, and we say no to commodity grade typically used by industrial makers. We pay a premium to get our hands on the top 5% of the world’s cacao crops from farmers who care about quality and craftsmanship, so that you may enjoy the deep flavours and complexity of the natural cacao.

No additives & substitutes. Our dark chocolates are presented in its purest form with only two ingredient - cacao and sugar. We do not use any artificial flavourings, food colourings, vegetable oil, emulsifiers or chemicals to fill our chocolates.
